Here at the Camberwell Arms bringing people together in celebration is what we do best, and nothing gives us more pleasure than creating a joyful atmosphere, where great food and drink can be enjoyed. As well as hosting dozens of weddings, birthdays and other celebrations in our private dining room over the course of the year, we also provide catering services to venues across London. Events by Camberwell Arms, our off-site events company, was launched in 2019 with the goal of bringing what we do at Camberwell Arms to our guests – wherever they would like that to be.

We are looking for a new Events Coordinator to join our team in 2025 to support both our off-site and on-site events.

This role is ideal for someone seeking to grow their experience of events of all sizes as part of a supportive and knowledgeable team. We are looking for someone with experience in private events or within restaurants at supervisor or junior management level with some experience with delivering private room events

This is pre-dominantly an office based role although you will be providing regular service support to ensure that the high standards of our private events are maintained, as well as supporting our Head of Events in delivering off-site events. You will be based at the Camberwell Arms with the option to work remotely and flexibly as you become able to work without close support.

You will report to our Head of Events and Events Head Chef, and work alongside the restaurant management team.

Job description

Responsibilities include:

  • To work as part of the events team to ensure all events are delivered to the highest possible standard

  • To act as first point of contact for all on-site and off-site events enquiries

  • To act as Christmas co-ordinator during the winter months

  • To produce detailed and accurate run sheets for each event

  • To lead weekly Events Meetings with Front of House management team

  • To provide ad hoc service and logistics support for events when necessary

  • To ensure we obtain and respond to guest feedback on a regular basis with the goal of continuous improvement to our events offering

  • To work with the Head of Events to understand and anticipate the opportunities and challenges of a yearly calendar of events
